German techno DJ and producer David Löhlein has had a meteoric rise in 2019. After landing a residency at Stuttgart’s Lehmann Club, the up and comer released his hypnotic tune ‘Altai’, which was played by everyone across the techno spectrum from SPFDJ to Charlotte De Witte, who dropped it at Tomorrowland 2019.

Just a few months later, the rising German artist is back with an equally memorable follow-up, named Sion EP.
To be released by Bulgarian techno label Mekanika Recordings, the EP sees Löhlein deliver three blistering techno cuts and an old school rave track, showing a new side to the German up and comer.

Produced with the dancefloor in mind, the EP shows once again Löhlein takes no prisoners. The opening track, ‘Grey Wave’ will take you on a journey to the realm of techno, where time stands still as long as you’re dancing with your eyes closed.

‘Clawing’ picks things up where ‘Grey Wave’ left off, teleporting you in the middle of a dark dancefloor, where pulsating synths and enchanting percussions reign supreme. Up next, ‘Kalaby’ is a minimalistic, yet deep techno tune that will take you on a sonic journey through time and space. Last but definitely not least, the euphoric, hands-in-the-air ‘Sion’ is undoubtedly the jewel in the crown of the EP. Its old school trance synths, coupled with its eerie atmospheres and enchanting rhythms, channel original rave vibes.

Mekanika Recordings will release Sion EP on March 16 digitally.

Release date: March 16th, 2020.
