DJ Spen’s weekly Sunday ‘Praise Party’ live stream was born in the pandemic, when a heartfelt idea from his wife Kelly, “go live and bring hope to people”, grew into a global online family united by music, faith, and irresistible gospel house edits.
Six years on, that community still gathers, and ‘The Praise Party’ album carries that legacy forward, continuing to bring hope and inspiration through music. A true labour of love, this album sees DJ Spen deliver fifteen uplifting songs where joyful voices rise together in spine-tingling harmony, and stunning solo performances flow over a musical feast of heart lifting, hand clapping and roof raising Gospel grooves.

‘The Praise Party’ album brings together a who’s who of world‑class Gospel and soulful vocalists, including Barbara Tucker, Dawn Tallman, Angelica de No, Inaya Day, Richard Burton, Tasha LaRae, Dr. David Anderson, Robin S, Randy Roberts, Vonita White, Marylin, and Cleveland P. Jones. Spen has also teamed up with an exceptional lineup of producers, delivering some incredible collaborations that amplify the album’s spirit including Kelly G, David Harness, Jeff Straw, Thommy Davis, Kasper Burnstein, and Gary Hudgins. Overflowing with meaningful, message‑driven, soul elevating songs, the project is powered by a stellar team of writers, including Spen’s wife Kelly Spencer, who wrote the first single release from the album, ‘When I Needed You Most’, as well as Eric Roberson, Richard Smallwood, Kelly G, Walter Hawkins, and more, all praising the power, purpose and joy that sits at the heart of ‘The Praise Party.’
DJ Spen is a globally respected DJ, producer, remixer and co-founder of Quantize Recordings, with a career spanning over four decades. From his early beginnings with The Numarx and the legendary Basement Boys, to shaping the soulful house movement through Jasper Street Company, Code Red Recordings and The MuthaFunkaz, Spen has become one of the most influential figures in house music worldwide.
A sought-after remixer and producer, he has worked with Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Toni Braxton, Ann Nesby, and many more, while building a catalogue of 700+ releases across the Quantize label family. His global reach continues through his Get Quantized radio show and The Praise Party livestream. Recent highlights include collaborations with Evelyn “Champagne” King, performances at the I AM HOUSE orchestrated concert in Miami, and being named Traxsource #1 Artist of the Year (2025). A regular presence across the US, UK and Europe, DJ Spen continues to define and elevate the sound of soulful house music.
