The latest offering from Monday Social Music welcomes the elusive Floorplay (LA) to the label for their debut single. This mysterious production project gets their story off to an auspicious start with the vibrant sounds of ‘Garden of Earthy Delights’. Taking square aim at the dance floor, Floorplay serves up a backbone of charged beats and swing heavy grooves which set the journey in motion.
Rhythm and musicality are at a premium here, as the duo marries tasteful piano motifs with emotive vocal fragments and luminous tonal themes. Timely drops and atmospheric overlays add momentum and depth across the first act, before the second of two breaks furthers the vocal narrative onwards to a thumping finale.
