Self Control Records was launched in the middle of lockdown and the current back catalogue has three releases of which all have had BBC Introducing support. Self Control 002 (Hot At 69) got played on Radio 1 by Jaguar just before Christmas, and Future Self was recently featured in a guest mix on BBC Introducing in the West.
Self Control 004 is due to land 30 April 2021 – it’s a progressive melodic affair with a killer breaks remix from London-based Mentat (Traum, Pokerflat) taking it straight back to the vibe of the late 90s – with an updated sound for 2021.
