Thorsten Vollmer the former half of the Leipzig (Germany) based live improvised & producer duo Zone Ohne Obligationen, celebrates his comeback after 3 Years of silence under Alias HIMBERT with his 12″ ‘Old Banger’ EP in 2022!
His gear, which will from now on mainly stay in his studio, is powered by his self-built off-grid solar system on his self-sufficient construction site in France near Nancy. This explains why it was so long quiet about the current family man. Anyway, now it’s getting loud again!
His sound cannot be described by genres. Always shuttling between many subgenres of underground Techno and House, he is on the lookout for the right vibe. Concise percussions, repetitive elements, groovy basslines, and dubby soundaesthetics are the common denominator.
