Villahangar’s 2022 begins in style. There are two remixes of the track ‘Golden Hour’ by Jessy Greene & The Axiom that the label publishes to welcome the new year: one signed by David Moreno together with Iban Mendoza and another by Iban Mendoza.
A track, Golden Hour by the violinist, cellist, composer, and singer – who has collaborated with names such as Foo Fighters, P!nk, Post Malone, Rita Ora, RZA, Ben Harper and Soul Asylum – Jessy Greene & The Axiom, intense and fascinating, thanks to the musicality of the violin and the voice of Jessy Greene. David Moreno and his friend Iban Mendoza wanted to interpret it with their very personal signature and at the same time exploring new territories, inspired by the sound they hear on the radio and the great sense of responsibility of working with an artist of the highest level.
They have thus mixed electronics and folk-rock sound, maintaining the essence of the song with the violins, strings, and the incredible voice of Jessy Greene, combining it thanks to rhythm and bass – with Ableton, a Korg minilogue, and a Roland tr8s – to their deepest, most electronic and sexiest Ibiza style. Joining again after other interesting projects, they have therefore created a sound between pop and club, with the quality and feeling to be heard in different environments and moments of day and night.
David Moreno, DJ and music producer, boasts a long and consolidated career, including nominations and awards from the most influential magazines in the sector, in electronic music and in the international clubbing scene, bringing the sound of Ibiza past and present all over the planet under the sign of quality and constancy. Energetic and emotional, he travels his musical journey in the name of diversity and love for many styles, with a multitude of references, influenced by Pop, Funky, the 80s-90s, and house and techno from the 90s-2000s. CEO of Pure Ibiza Radio since 2017 and radio host of “Ibiza Dance Radio Show” since its creation in 1992, he lives in Ibiza and is of Catalan origin, born in Vilanova i la Geltrú.
Iban Mendoza, DJ and producer, was born and raised in Lerida and has lived in Ibiza since 2003. Commitment and dedication, together with strength, freshness, mastery, and technical awareness distinguish his musical path. Between productions and DJ sets in the most famous clubs of the island, events, and important private parties, also reaching the USA and winning prizes and awards, his style is versatile and full of countless nuances as those of electronic music.
