Sweden’s Jonas Rathsman presents ‘No Surprise’ EP, the follow up to his debut on Mobilee ‘Draumzer’.
The smooth and somewhat hypnotic ‘No Surprise’ delivers a percussive depth that will delight dancefloors and listeners alike. The haunting vocal story sets the scene for the rest of the EP, a standout addition to the melodic landscape of 2020. It’s the kind of EP you might expect from an artist championed by Pete Tong and who has remixed the likes of Bob Moses, Disclosure, London Grammar, Sam Smith and more; having released on such stalwart labels as Dynamic, KX, Crosstown Rebels and his own ELEMENTS.
It’s not hard to imagine that the EP comes direct from his Gothenburg studio complex built using mostly repurposed wood from the forest, which was featured by Fact Magazine and DJ Mag.
