Kookmode ended a long creative break two years ago and returned to the studio with releases on Upon You Records, Monaberry, and Sangraal. Now he continues with his own interpretation of melodic house, indie dance and electronica with the EP ‘Brother & Sister’.
The four tracks of the new EP range between dance floor and almost downtempo with many percussive elements. The tracks ‘Brother’ and ‘Sister’ are variations of the same basic theme with thrillingly different characteristics – even if siblings have the same origin, they might develop completely differently.
‘Brother’ dances playfully and melodically over a dark bass carpet which will stick in your memory, while »Sister« moves with fragile figures slightly undercooled over a nicely heaving underground. The hypnotically relaxed »Endless« comes across as funky as the acid-inspired‘The Gift’. Energetic and relaxed music, not only for siblings.
