Applique Music celebrates 13th anniversary with ‘Beaut’ by Lempo.
The Manchester-based imprint is headed by British DJ and producer, Mike McGuinness, professionally known as Lempo. Applique was launched in 2011 with a series of parties at Manchester’s legendary Sankeys nightclub. Now in its 13th year, Applique is a well-established label in the underground house space with a catalog of 170 releases delivering an eclectic array of house music to selectors.
Lempo has collaborated with house music icons such as Roland Clark, Chuck Roberts, and Princess Superstar in recent years, releasing material on labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Trax Records, and Black Hole Recordings. This latest groove ‘Beaut’ radiates the vibes of a sunset at Café Mambo. A cocktail of 80’s synthwave and deep house with a sprinkle of 303 acid bass, a brazen trumpet hook, and a soul-filled vocal. Releasing July 26th exclusively on Beatport and Spotify.
