‘Little Funk’ by Lempo, Oskar Jay & Rosemary Quaye on Porky Records.

British producer Lempo joins forces with Polish counterpart, Oskar Jay, and the UK’s premier Saxophonist, Rosemary Quaye – to deliver ‘Little Funk’ on Spanish imprint, Porky Records.
Part of the CHR Label Group, Porky Records is renowned for turning out a high standard of house music, with standout releases such as DJ Matt Black’s ‘Hip N’ Tech’ EP, and ‘Air Flight’ by Massimo Solinas.

Manchester’s Lempo also has a rich history of production and remix credits, including artists such as General Levy, K-Klass, Princess Superstar, and Snoop Dogg. Electronic Groove is no stranger to Lempo’s output, having previously featured the hit singles “Dance Without A Reason” alongside Roland Clark on Strictly Rhythm, and “Open House” with Chuck Roberts on Black Hole Recordings.

Oskar Jay has been busy growing his repertoire with collaborations alongside Brunno Kauffmann, Late Than Ever, Lucca Lazza, and Ollie Sanders. Releasing on imprints such as Applique Music, Fyasko Music, Tactical Records, and Twists of Time. Oskar has had two previous collaborations with Lempo – 2021’s ‘Bop Down’ released on Whore House, and 2020’s ‘Don’t Stop’ on Chicago’s iconic Trax Records.

Rosemary Quaye is one of the UK’s most sought-after Saxophonists, making a huge impact on the dance music scene in 2021 with multiple chart-topping releases – including the Beatport Funky House No.1, ‘I Told You’ alongside Mat Lunnen on Deeper Vision Recordings, and the single ‘Get Up’ with Lempo and The Incredible Melting Man on InStero Recordings, which peaked at No.5 on Beatport’s Top 100 House releases.

Together the trio has cooked up a blend of house and tech with a funky bass, some hip-hop vocal magic, and a hooky top line sax. Lempo’s ever-present jackin’ vocal work, Oskar Jay’s signature rolling percussion, and Rosemary Quaye’s on-point sax performance make ‘Little Funk’ the perfect vibe for dance floors, just in time for Summer.

‘Little Funk’ is available now exclusively on Beatport, with general release on June 16th.

Release date: May 13th, 2022.
