Carl Cox is an industry figurehead who’s legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is the return of Many Reasons.
Many Reasons previously known as MiniCoolBoyz are an Italian duo who under their various aliases have featured music on a many influential labels including Phobiq, Minus, 100% Pure, Terminal M, Octopus Black, and their own Amazing Records.
The guys last featured on Intec in June of 2018 and are back with their fourth EP on the label, this time featuring two exceptional tracks that support why early in their career Beatport referred to these guys as “Richie Hawtin’s Prodigies”.
For this EP Many Reasons have teamed up with NØNE, who makes their debut release as part of this exciting collaboration.
Track one ‘Taurus’ has a thumping kick drum and rattling percussion with looped background textures filling the track with an intense sense of urgency. Swelling with tension, the bursts of acid cut through the shadowy atmosphere leading to the epic breakdown, which reaches its crescendo just before the hard-hitting percussion slams back in.
Second of the tracks is ‘Equilibrium’ which has a frantic arpeggiator driving the momentum forwards while the fast-flowing rhythms add to its full throttle energy. Vibrant and perfect for peak time plays, this is sure to cause havoc on a dance floor with clubbers screaming for more.
