We at Music For Freaks always feel privileged to be handed amazing music to listen to…. and ‘Always’ from Matt Tolfrey featuring the beautiful vocals of Tim Fuller pretty much kicked the door of acceptance & respect in from the first time we heard it!

Matt has an undeniable penchant for the less obvious and more curious sounds; he’s someone who loves to step outside the usual limits of the dance floor and come at things, both as a DJ and producer, from a left-of-centre perspective-a mantra very close to MFF’s heart. His DJ and production credits have seen him appear with the best in the industry; Fabric, Panorama Bar, Glastonbury, DC10, Burning Man, Classic Music, Cuttin’ Headz, Crosstown Rebels and Cocoon and his recent album “All Shapes & Different Sizes” placed him right back in the critical spotlight, exactly where he belongs. Likewise, Tim, is a hugely respected musician in the global funk, soul and jazz scenes and has toured with the likes of vocal greats, such as Bobby McFerrin. However, being seduced by the works of legends such as Frankie Knuckles and Tony Humphries, Tim was thankfully propelled into the wonderful world of House Music and has since collaborated with Miguel Migs, Honey Dijon, DJ Ali & Fred Everything.

Having signed the track in 2019, we’ve held onto this project throughout lockdown, fearing it wouldn’t receive the attention it deserves, without clubs in action. So, we’re super happy to finally be able to release “Always” to everyone back out dancing.

Matt’s inherent instinct for a future classic, combined with his appreciation of Tim’s talent, (“Tim Fuller has been a hero of mine for a long time. He is one of the most inspiring and humble people you will ever meet”Matt T) sees this stripped back, deep, funk-fuelled  heater carved from the very best of both artists’ abilities.

And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve been super lucky to have acquired a remix of ‘Always’ from our long time fellow conspirator, Mark Farina. Mark has supplied an absolutely awesome interpretation of the original, turning it into a monstrous Chicago jacking classic. Seriously strong vibes are here!

We just love giving you good news ;).

Release date: October 22nd, 2021.
