London-based, Australian trio Mel Blue bring along a stunning new single, “Back Then, Computer Sound”, out now via the ever-impressive and diverse Nettwerk imprint.
The track blends elements of stylish lof-fi and old school with slinky bass and an irresistible groove.
Expanding on their new single and influences further, the trio collectively comments; “Back Then, Computer Sound” is the Mel Blue mission statement. Since we started making music together, we have always drawn from our nostalgia. As time has gone on, exactly what and why this is has become clearer. We are on a search to recreate and represent the feelings we had when we first heard electronic dance music as kids. The joy, euphoria, warmth, and simplicity of loops that cycle on and on in this sound have helped us make sense of the world and our place in it.
