Mr OFFBeat Unveils New Single on Appetizers Music Records.
Renowned producer, drummer, keyboardist, and DJ, Xabier Garayalde, known professionally as Mr OFFBeat, is set to release his latest single under Appetizers Music Records, the label he co-founded with his brother in 1999. This new track continues to showcase Mr OFFBeat’s signature blend of soulful, jazz-infused, old-school house music.
Mr OFFBeat, who has been an integral part of the electronic music scene for over two decades, is also recognized for his contributions to acclaimed projects such as Wagon Cookin’, Kyodai, Bassfort, and Mentho. His solo venture under the Mr OFFBeat moniker began with the “Zezen” EP, released on August 25, 2023, through Atjazz Record Company. The EP features tracks like “Zezen,” “SPXParticle,” and “Synthony,” which highlight his multi-instrumentalist talents and a fusion of house, disco, jazz, and broken beat elements.
Following the success of “Zezen,” Mr OFFBeat released “Agent 052” in November 2023, marking his second solo endeavor. This track further solidified his reputation for delivering sophisticated and rhythmically engaging compositions.
In December 2024, he unveiled the “Hidden Currents / Soul Cat” EP on Local Talk Records. This release blends retro vibes with contemporary finesse, featuring tracks that weave 90s house influences with elements of disco and deep house, offering both club-ready and casual listening experiences.
The forthcoming single “Tangled Soul” promises to continue this trajectory, delivering a soulful and jazz-infused house track that embodies the essence of Mr OFFBeat’s sound.
