‘Mucumba’ (Mumbaata, Gustavo MM) is Sabiá Records‘ next release, and will be available on April 9th.
With its essence in Afro House, ‘Mucumba’ consolidates the fusion between organic and digital. After solid minutes of pure percussive groove, the composition takes on its full form during the main breakdown, when the rhythmic elements are immersed into a mysterious and introspective atmosphere. The vocal sample also plays an important role, and comes from the original track “Nagô”, released in 1971 by the Brazilian samba-rock group Trio Mocotó. Bringing together past and present by re-introducing these vocals into current days, Mumbaata and Gustavo MM created a timeless masterpiece.
