Nehli has gifted us with two original tracks ‘Weird Complexity’ and ‘Snowman Paradox’. The artist is involved with the collective/label L’usine Musique, the DJ and producer is also a resident of the nightclub ‘Do Not Sit On The Furniture’ in Miami.
His drummers background is clear in both tracks, which feature intricate and energetic rhythm sections, with sounds that, although familiar, are also avant-garde in the genre. ‘Snowman Paradox’ is a dancefloor heater full of groove, with an exquisite bassline and just the right amount of dissonance to create the necessary tension. The EP’s title track, ‘Weird Complexity’, is a parade of sound design: warm and complex synth sounds, in a mesmerizing syncopation, surrounded by textures that immerse the listener in the track’s atmosphere.
