So, how has your summer been? Perhaps you went to a festival or three, or a long weekend to Ibiza. Or perhaps just the company of good friends, speakers in the back garden. The music you listened to was tasty. It filled you up like the food from your barbecue. But was it nutritious? Did it resonate through your fibres? Because Nutritious is, well, good for your soul. The Soft Dark is a testament to this.
Like a blue sky over a dark and brooding Scottish Loch, mystic forces are at work. Nutritious, the master artist, painting fervently with his sonic paintbrush on a gigantic canvas. The Soft Dark is where sky, earth, and sea meet the heart. luminous, rhythmic, and endlessly forward.
First, Nutritious takes you high into the Ether. Light chords lift your body up from the ground. You feel better already. It is the quintessence, from the Greek aithēr: the refined, shining air that fills the heavens. Not matter but interval—the clear space between forms—a celestial medium where consciousness widens to its edges. In this buoyant embrace, the divine substance uplifts thought into bliss; its timeless clarity steadies resolve and invites unity, binding us in shared wonder and aspiration.”
Cenote starts with a shimmering, playful synth sending shivers down your spine. I challenge you not to get goosebumps. “Cenote is an eternal mirror, its pristine waters aglow with cosmic echoes. This tranquil refuge heals with magic ripples, guiding seekers from ocean’s calm to a boundless, timeless dream. Its crystalline depths craft a boundless spell, beckoning all to dive in eternal wonder.
Humanity, with its sumptuous strings arpeggiated and delay synths, using the human voice as an instrument, full of emotion. “A map older than memory—stone to star, caravan to circuit—Humanity is the long arc of our making. Signals bloom into song, a common tongue. Under the same sky, wonders answer wonders—temples to skylines, firelight to fiber—as we navigate one trail. Love is the technology and hope the time.”
The Soft Dark, as most of Nutritious’ esteemed catalogue, is more than music.
