Portuguese-Mexican DJ, producer and club curator Oscar Rosmano makes his debut on Manual Music with ‘Karyna’, a deep and atmospheric progressive house cut that balances a dark, hypnotic undertone with soaring vocal flourishes and celestial synths.
Rich in tension and emotion, ‘Karyna’ unfolds patiently, moving between shadowy low-end pressure and luminous melodic detail. Its vocal elements bring an uplifting, almost weightless quality to the track, providing a striking counterpoint to its deeper foundations and giving the production a sense of emotional depth without losing its dancefloor focus.
The release marks the latest chapter in a career spanning more than two decades. Based in Lisbon, Oscar has established himself as a key presence in the city’s electronic music community, both behind the decks and through Temple Club, the intimate venue he founded and curates. His approach to music draws on years spent immersed in club culture, bringing together atmosphere, melody and a finely tuned understanding of the dancefloor.
‘Karyna’ forms part of Under Current Vol. 1, a two-track release completed by Jacob Maess’ ‘Chasing The Noise’. Together, the tracks introduce a new series from Manual Music focused on deep, progressive and emotionally charged electronic music.
