Not many remixes surpass their original tracks but Drew Blyther’s take on Peku’s Blindsight might do just that. Released on April 8th, 2022, Shadow Wulf’s label boss Drew Blyther delivers yet another driving, slice of sound. Flexible enough to be played to dancefloors spanning from dark warehouses to vast deserts.
Blyther says he was honored to put his own spin on one of his favorite artists, sighting the continuous catalog of Peku as an equally important standard of his own. Blindsight came together rather quickly, over a weekend when he was also busy playing groomsman in a close friend’s wedding.
Just like marriage, this producer merged his best attributes (big percussion, energetic swing, and a darker style) with another’s existing creation and made something even stronger in the process. Blyther’s remix moves away from the bouncier original and invites the heat of the night to settle in.
