L.A Duo Peppermint Heaven have always been the masters of experimenting with other creatives.
Following a number of high-profile remixes in 2018, as well as a massively successful release of their last album ‘Perfect Things’, the L.A duo have just released some of their finest work to date, ‘Sunshine Days’. Their unique brand of 80’s style indie pop has earned them a cult following over the last five years and, as the name suggests, the latest release is a potent mix of retro fixation with a contemporary production ambition.
Juno (Keyboards & Vocals) and Spark (Bass Guitar, Drums & Vocals) have had quite the year so far. Their productions have taken them far beyond the 2 million streams mark on Spotify. Their brave takes on 80’s music have procured them a cult following and they are always looking to extend their following with forward thinking collaboration opportunities.
The latest recruit to their pool of UK producers is the enigmatic talent Oscuro, a Leeds based producer who curates a truly distinctive sound making use of organic and electronic elements with ease. He first reached people’s ears after winning a remix competition of a Tears For Fears track, going on to it’s own release on Universal. He soon followed with his solo work, garnering support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Thump Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, Clash and a number of key YouTube channels.
Since then, the young producer has excelled on Spotify with his piano-led, neo-classical style picking up support from a number of key playlists in the genre. For this remix however, Oscuro is taking the 4×4 style back, bringing a bonobo-esque groove to the Peppermint Heaven track.
Release date: August 14th, 2019.
