CATZ ‘N DOGZ FLEX THEIR PRISTINE TECHNICAL SKILL IN DOUBLE A-SIDE ‘RENDEZVOUS / NASTY’
Polish production legends Catz ‘n Dogz journey to Club Sweat to drop a double A-side ready to set the rave-craving animals out of their cage, releasing ‘Rendezvous / Nasty’. The duo have creatively crafted a double A-side oozing floor-to-floor elixir, to skillfully entice underground cavern connoisseurs.
‘Nasty’ is a tune that layers the hypnotic and conspicuous vocals of Kiddy Smile over a bounce-loaded bassline and stank-face inducing textures apropos, underscored by underlying rhythmic drums and sirens to evoke a bustling party atmosphere.
“For ‘Nasty,’ we worked with our very good friend Kiddy Smile” the Polish duo said. “We’ve known each other already for a few years and worked together on various projects. The lyrics of the track can be interpreted in many ways and that’s exactly how we wanted to leave it.”
Production partners Grzegorz and Wojech, who make up prolific house duo Catz ‘n Dogz, have enjoyed a stellar 16-year career, leaving a long-lasting impression on the dance music community. The pair started from humble beginnings to now releasing killer EPs and remixes across some of the biggest dance labels on the scene such as Defected, Dirtybird, and Diynamic. After their debut album ‘Stars Of Zoo’, the pair went on to form their own electronic label Pets Recordings, where they have released an additional three full-length studio albums in the form of ‘Basic Colour Theory’, ‘Friendship’, and ‘Moments’.
Their achievements in the dance scene are reflected with press and award nominations including cover features with Mixmag and DJ Mag Spain, spots in the RA Top 100 DJ poll, DJ Mag’s ‘Top 10 Albums’ and ‘Best Track’ at WMC Awards.
Whilst their underground sound is permeated across their catalogue, they have broken onto the global stage with remixes and collaborations with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Roisin Murphy, and Disclosure. Their skillful DJ performances have made them a staple at some of the most prestigious festivals worldwide including SW4, Glastonbury, Park Life, Bestival, Snowbombing, and Electric Daisy Carnival. One can also find them on set lists at the hottest clubs in Europe and abroad, like Panorama Bar in Berlin, Fabric in London, Smolna in Warsaw (where they are resident DJs), and many more.
