Whippin Records’s superb 6th EP comes from REME and features a trio of effective club tunes. After recent releases on the likes of Hottrax, Moan and Sanity, he is the latest name to break out from Manchester’s bubbling electronic scene.
Opener ‘Listen Up’ is a slick bit of rubbery, gooey minimal house. The drums are well programmed and the warped synths add real flesh to the bones. Irritate is another super cool afterparty vibe with gliding hits and spinning hi hats, warm bass and rubbery kicks that make you move your whole body. Last of all, Indecisive is a tribal and percussive cut but still expertly stripped back and an infectious house groove. This is another on point EP from this vital label.
