Influential Istanbul house and techno collective Sublime Porte reunite for the first time in many years with a special dedication to one of their core members Okan Coban who tragically left us in 2003. One tune, one emotional epitaph for one of Turkey’s most enduring crews, ‘Cascade’ is deep, dubby and laced in Detroitian drama.
Nodding to the foundations set by the likes of UR, there’s a twinkle, star-lit sheen to the top layer but a powerful drive to the groove beneath. Ageless and suitable for any chapter of the night, it’s a fitting send off to a dear friend. It also comes complete with two versions from Berlin-based Kanzleramt bossman Heiko Laux. The first remix is primed for more peaktime activities.
