For their new single ‘NLYU’(Only You), The Policy team up with CUT_ to create a song that take you back to the late 90s. A nostalgic nod to a time period where artists such as Cassius, Daft Punk and Armand Van Helden conquered the dance floor. Where ‘NLYU’ stand out is in its unique approach to the genre.

With their own sound they created a contemporary house track that reminds you of this era. Instead of using the extremely popular TR 909 they combined drum machines with acoustic drum sounds.

At the heart of the track is The Policy‘s beloved Synthesizer Korg Triton ran through distortion units, the Roland SH101 delivers the tight bass groove that gives ‘NLYU’ its drive.

After finishing the instrumentals for ‘NLYU’, The Policy teamed up with CUT_ for the vocals. The lyric is a reflection of a mindset many of us embrace nowadays. We are living more and more in a DIY culture. Its only you who can make it come true.

Release date: February 7th, 2020.
