We are super-pleased to offer this beautiful slice of horizontal mysteriousness from the collaborative transatlantic duo of utaiMOSS and Geety.
Japanese-American vocalist utaiMOSS is an emerging singer whose dreamlike voice and lyricism have blessed a number of different electronic artists’ productions, her melancholic tenderness fitting easily within the worlds of drum & bass, trance, and more esoteric downbeat grooves.
Here, on the simply titled ‘Melody’, we see her working with the Brighton, UK producer Geety, layered harmonies and deep synth washes creating a near-perfect space of meditative calm as a simple, repetitive drum groove and uncomplicated keys gently pushes the piece along. Imagine Zero 7 and Clannad sending cosmic communications to each other whilst asleep.
