MOT008.5 It’s a big step for Motivant Records. This release presents the fruits of a mentor-student relationship that culminated in a friendship based on a musical passion that burns with fervor.
For this project, the Mexican artist Hugo Ibarra took as inspiration the original song by Vivran – Brisa de ti and reinterprets it to generate a completely new sound world. For MOTIVANT this is incredibly special, since Hugo accompanied many of our artists in their musical entrepreneurship and their path as producers.
Now Hugo joins the list of artists that accompany us on the label and what better way to do it than with a reinterpretation of a piece made by his original protégé and founder of Motivant. For this piece, Heîk sought to capture the essence of the original track and present a repertoire of synths that appear iridescently, like the changing colors within a fire opal.
