Seth Troxler and Bill Patrick are set to unveil their book, ‘In Between,’ at this year’s ADE event. This project offers an intimate glimpse into the world of electronic music through the lens of a globe-trotting adventure.
From February to November 2023, Patrick accompanied his long-time friend Troxler on an epic ten-month world tour. Their journey spanned four continents, 20 countries, and 40 cities, capturing the essence of life on the road for one of electronic music’s most dynamic figures.
Patrick’s work blends photojournalism, music photography, and portraiture, challenging traditional live music documentation. Using vintage 35mm cameras, he created a series of timeless images that contrast with the fast-paced nature of their journey.
The book features over 250 photographs and select texts, offering a multi-faceted photo essay that captures both the energy of nightlife and moments of solitude. Street photography provides cultural glimpses of various cities, creating a narrative of ‘in-betweenness’—neither here nor there, now nor then.
The official launch event for ‘In Between’ will take place at ADE 2024 on Friday, October 18th. This gathering will include a book signing and a special talk by Troxler and Patrick.
For those unable to attend the ADE launch, additional events are scheduled in New York (October 23rd), London, and Miami (dates to be confirmed). The book will be available for online purchase starting November 12th, making it accessible to a global audience.
