Jackmaster has recently released a new track entitled ‘Let’s Go’ under Seth Troxler’s label. The single is a precursor to the Glasgow-based artist’s upcoming EP.
‘Let’s Go’ is influenced by the pulsating beat of Chicago house music. The track features a persistent, flexible bassline, crisp drums, and a sense of rhythm, with Jackmaster working on each of these elements with a combination of playfulness and intensity.
“When I started the tune I had this melody in my head, and a little flip which I asked Jasper James to help with laying down. It morphed into a nod to Relief; most notably their releases from Boo Williams and Jellybean — fast and loose. I even recorded the vocal samples myself, right there into my headphones. Doing things like that, then bouncing ideas off of Seth, can be super inspiring. He’s always encouraging me to be totally honest and believe in myself whether it’s in the studio or the DJ booth. I feel like I channeled Seth’s energy alongside those Chicago legends, while making something that felt 100% my own too,” Jackmaster commented.
