Chilean-born, Bristol-based DJ and producer Shanti Celeste has announced her second studio album, ‘Romance’, marking a new chapter in her career. The nine-track record delves into the complexities of relationships, both romantic and platonic, showcasing a deeper, more personal side of her artistry.
The first single, ‘Thinking About You’, serves as a heartfelt tribute to a late friend who was also her first boyfriend. Speaking about the track, Celeste shared, “He was my first boyfriend but also a really good friend. He was a really important person in my life.”
Following her 2019 debut album, ‘Tangerine’, ‘Romance’ features collaborations with Batu, Hal Sutherland, and Shivum Sharma. The album’s tracklist includes ‘Butterflies’, ‘Watching’, and ‘Medicine’, hinting at an introspective sonic journey.
In anticipation of the release, Celeste will host a Club Celeste event at The Cause in London on May 17th, featuring performances from Daisy Moon, Gabrielle Kwarteng, Lishy, and more.
