After more than 25 years of shaping Portugal’s techno landscape, South African-born, Portugal-based artist SHEILA enters 2026 with a clear creative focus and a return to her roots. Leaving behind the ‘Miss’ title, the decision marks a subtle yet decisive evolution — a move rooted in authenticity, experience, and sonic depth.
Out now on her own label Digital Waves, ‘Illusion’ sets the tone for this new phase. Built on hypnotic rhythms, organic percussion, acid-tinged textures, and discreet vocals, the track unfolds through progressive structures and carefully placed drops. Balancing energy and introspection, it offers a fully immersive listening experience — both on the dancefloor and in solitary moments.
Next up is ‘Take Me Higher’, scheduled for February 27th, 2026. Described as emotionally direct and expansive, the track blends bright atmospheres, resonant vocals, and melodic crescendos crafted for high-impact response.
In parallel with these releases, SHEILA introduces ELEVATE — a new artistic concept and performance approach for 2026. Designed as an immersive, emotionally charged experience, ELEVATE merges sound, atmosphere, and narrative into a more mature and sophisticated electronic journey.
