Shimza and Elderbrook have joined forces once again on ‘Falling’, a new single released via Helix Records. The track follows their 2024 collaboration ‘Places’, featured on Elderbrook’s ‘Another Touch’ album.

Built around Shimza’s signature Afro-tech foundation, ‘Falling’ unfolds with patience and restraint. The production leans into atmosphere and space, gradually releasing tension as Elderbrook’s expressive vocal glides across the rhythm. Rather than offering a traditional topline, the vocal creates a layered dialogue between movement and emotion — resulting in a track that resonates both on the dancefloor and in more introspective settings.

The release marks a key moment for Shimza, founder of Kunye — the label and event series championing African electronic music globally. With major events across Johannesburg, London, Pretoria, and Durban, plus collaborations with Black Coffee, Rachel Chinouriri, Aloe Blacc, and Louie Vega, Shimza continues shaping Afro-centric club culture’s international presence.

Elderbrook, known for introspective songwriting and genre-crossing productions, brings his signature touch to ‘Falling’. His emotionally rich collaborations and catalog bridging pop and underground sensibility make his contribution a natural evolution of the duo’s partnership.
