The video clip was shot by director, producer, and Golden Globe winner Fatih Akin.
Solomun returns with a new single entitled ‘Kreatur der Nacht’, in which he joins the German indie rock group Isolation Berlin. The song, which will be released on November 27th, stems from the desire of the Bosnian DJ and producer to make a track that experimented with the punk of the eighties.
This track captures the essence of the cold wave and post-punk sound that dominated continental Europe throughout the 80s and combines safe locks, a cold, metallic bass line, and the aggressive vocals of Isolation Berlin. The industrial aesthetic is accentuated by the official video, which shows the protagonist walking into a leather-clad punk crowd as the track plays.
‘Kreatur der Nacht’ marks the second release from his newly launched NINL label, after last month’s ‘Home’. Both tracks are scheduled to appear on Solomun’s first album in eleven years, which will be released in May 2021.
