There will be more than 70 activities between concerts, debates, DJ sets, workshops, exhibitions, etc.
Sónar has announced a new meeting with a different format that will take place in Barcelona. It is Sónar + D CCCB 2020, an event that will become an audiovisual platform that will broadcast its programming live through two free channels, as well as exclusive content on-demand.
This special edition of Sónar + D CCCB will focus on local creative talent and will feature the participation of at least 140 guests, including artists and speakers. The themes of environmental awareness and the relationship between art and science are highlighted in the conference and presentation program.
The online program will coexist with live activities at the Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) with a limited capacity. This includes premieres and exclusive shows by Max Cooper, Arca, Maria Arnal i Marcel Bagés, Ryoji Ikeda, Nicola Cruz, Morad, Ms Nina, Niño de Elche, the talk between Holly Herndon and Richie Hawtin, and the special collaborations in audiovisual format by Alba G. Corral with Carles Viarnés and between John Talabot and Desilence, among others.
The live broadcast via streaming will take place on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September, between 10:30 and 02:00 CET. The face-to-face activities at the CCCB in Barcelona will take place both days between 10:30 and 00:00 CET, while the DJ sets at Torre d’Alta Mar can only be seen online from 12:00 to midnight CET.
