Under their Lost Souls of Saturn moniker.
The newly launched Sonic Cloisters is a Live-stream series of electronic music performances, featuring renowned and emerging electronic music artists, directed and produced by Bespoke Musik‘s new sister company Bespoke Studios, in cooperation with the Metropolitan Museum of Art and recorded in the unique spaces of The Met.
The first episode of the Sonic Cloister series, filmed in The Fuentidueña Chapel, features a groundbreaking performance by Seth Troxler and Phil Moffa as Lost Souls of Saturn, combining music, storytelling, and technology to create a unique, immersive environment, while ‘marrying the prescient visions, political aspirations, and psychedelic energy of science fiction and early rave culture with postmodern philosophy and contemporary art.’
According to its press release, ‘Sonic Cloisters emphasizes the look, feel, and sound of the Cloisters as the inspiration and starting point for new electronic music. Freed from the confines of the dance floor, these artists interact with the Cloisters’ collection, architecture, and environment to explore new creative territory and compositional approaches.’
The first installment of Sonic Cloisters featuring Lost Souls of Saturn goes live today, June 3rd, at 8 PM EST. You can tune in to the broadcast here.
