French electronic artist Space 92 has launched TAKEOFF, a new techno record label focused on fresh, innovative sounds. The imprint’s inaugural release, ‘Offbeat,’ blends trance elements with rap vocals.

‘Offbeat’ showcases Space 92’s signature sound—featuring distorted percussion, trance rhythms, and acid touches—all driven by an infectious dancefloor groove.

“I was immediately attracted to the raw vocals; they had a swag about them that I liked, and I felt I could build something around that,” says Space 92. “Seeing ‘Offbeat’ on my own label as its very first release is an incredible feeling. I am very excited, and also a bit nervous—I really hope people will like it!”

Space 92 has held the position of Beatport’s top-selling techno peak-time artist since 2020. His distinctive fusion of trance/techno with acid and 80s sci-fi elements has yielded hits like ‘Planet X,’ ‘The Door,’ and ‘Gravity.’ His regular collaborations with Popof, Reinier Zonneveld, Hi-Lo, Hardwell, among others, also showcase his versatility as an artist.
