Paul Woolford has taken on his Special Request moniker for a new rendition of ‘Chime’, Orbital’s timeless rave classic. This new edit was specially made for ‘Better Days: The Story Of UK Rave’, Amazon’s recently premiered documentary.
Known as the ‘Chime Re-Record (Special Request Remix)’, the reinterpretation is a fresh update for 2021 that stays true to all the nostalgic elements that make ‘Chime’ what it is. ‘So lovely to hear ‘Chime’ with fresh ears presented by the fantastic Paul Woolford aka Special Request. The single was released following the premiere of ‘Better Days’, in which even Paul Hartnoll is interviewed about his involvement with the underground rave scene some 30 years ago, while also taking a peek into the more contemporary artists, including interviews with SHERELLE, Prospa, Denis Sulta, and TSHA.
A 30-minute original score for ‘Better Days’ was curated by Overmono and also features Dance System’s ‘Better Days’ featuring Rush Davis, which was created specifically for the film to go alongside Special Request’s remix
