Spencer Brown has been announced as the next artist to join Global Underground’s long-running nubreed series. Set for release on October 16th, 2026, ‘nubreed 13’ sees the San Francisco producer curate two mixes that combine original productions with music that has influenced his artistic journey.
Presented across two continuous DJ mixes, the release explores contrasting moods, with one lighter and one darker session, while blending re-edits, exclusive material, and tracks spanning three decades into a cohesive listening experience. The compilation will be available on 2xCD, heavyweight coloured vinyl, digital platforms, and streaming services.
Speaking about the project, Brown described the release as an opportunity to showcase artists who have inspired him while introducing new music written specifically for the compilation. Global Underground founder Andy Horsfield also welcomed Brown to the series, describing him as an artist long admired by the label.
The release also marks the beginning of a nubreed world tour, with dates planned for late 2026 and early 2027 in support of the project.
