Renowned DJ/producer Stelios Vassiloudis has shared the release of ‘Nothing Will Ever Be The Same’. His latest track is already available via John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, and seeks to raise funds for the Hellenic Red Cross.
Stelios created ‘Nothing Will Ever Be The Same’ after having experienced firsthand the havoc created by wildfires, which had him evacuating both his home and his studio, believing that his whole life would be engulfed in flames. Fortuitously, none of that happened, but that feeling of loss and grief stuck with him.
Now, in collaboration with music tech giant Native Instruments, Vassiloudis is raising funds for the Hellenic Red Cross through the sale of his new release. Available via Bandcamp’s ‘Pay-What-You-Want’ scheme, buyers can pay over the minimum, with all proceeds going to said ONG. In order to encourage donations, Native Instruments is set to give away 5 controllers to the highest bids/contributions.
‘Perhaps nothing ever being the same is not such a bad thing. After all, Heraclitus’ often paraphrased “the only constant in life is change” quote is the precursor to a multitude of philosophies and dogmas that preach acceptance and embrace of the here and now. My only hope and intention in sharing this project with you is that we go forward into the uncharted future with a renewed sense of awareness, mindfulness, and willingness to act. We can no longer afford to turn a blind eye towards or sleep on attitudes and events that shape the future of our planet – nor tolerate the apathy that makes them possible.’ says Stelios about his project and newfound insight.
