Sub Focus has released his fourth solo studio album, ‘Contact’, out now via Positiva. The 14-track LP sees the drum and bass producer collaborate with a broad range of artists, including Grimes, John Summit, Katy B, Fireboy DML, IRAH, Connie Constance, and Poppy Baskcomb.
‘Contact’ draws from electro, trance, dancehall, and drum and bass, blending widescreen production with bold crossover energy. Standout tracks include ‘Entwined’ featuring Grimes, ‘Original Don’ with Fireboy DML and IRAH, and ‘Go Back’ with John Summit and Julia Church. Other guests include bbyclose, Inez, Emily Makis, and Subsonic.
The album’s creative direction—artwork, packaging, and visuals—was developed by Sub Focus in collaboration with photographer Neil Krug and design studio Big Active. The visual aesthetic channels retro-futurism, referencing the Voyager Golden Record and space race-era technology.
2025 has been a landmark year for Sub Focus, from selling out Alexandra Palace to becoming the first drum and bass act to headline Red Rocks Amphitheatre. With over two decades in UK drum and bass, Sub Focus continues to evolve.
