Paris-based duo Superparka unveiled their latest single ‘AZ’, which serves as the lead track off their highly-anticipated debut album ‘quatro’, set to release in 2023.
‘AZ’ is a psychedelic and soulful mix of whispered vocals and enticing falsettos over a futuristic instrumental. Along with the release, the duo also dropped a hallucinogenic music video, shot in the Sahara desert, that sees them wandering through the sand, dealing with other-worldly creatures and a flying goat.
Superparka are known for their genre-bending style, which ranges from lo-fi hip-hop to garage, house, and R&B. Their debut album is expected to be experimental, with automatic lyric writing and shapeshifting sonics. The duo collaborates with visual artist Lulu Lin and director Pablo Padovani aka Moodoid, to add a futuristic Western aesthetic to the upcoming LP.
