Sven Väth has released a new compilation titled ‘Inner Horizon’ through Cocoon Recordings. The ambient-leaning selection showcases a deeply personal journey through sound, memory, and introspection.
‘Inner Horizon’ unfolds as a meditative journey through silence, memory, and imagination. Curated by Sven Väth, the compilation brings together artists who have shaped his musical path over the years, alongside newer voices that have recently opened unexpected perspectives.
“‘Inner Horizon’ is a collection of such moments — a journey inward, toward the place where sound meets memory and emotion becomes space,” Väth explains.
The release features works by late ambient pioneer Harold Budd, atmospheric architect Brian Eno, the joyful serenity of Laraaji, and Nala Sinephro’s introspective jazz textures. It also includes compositions by Hania Rani, Jon Hassell, Roman Flügel, and Nils Frahm, among others. Each artist offers what Väth describes as “a portal — suspended between the real and the dreamlike.”
“Electronic music can be more than rhythm — it can be meditation, memory, and solace,” says Väth. “‘Inner Horizon’ is not a mix for a moment. It is a state of being.”
