The experimental trio Teichmann + Soehne recently announced the release of their debut LP entitled ‘Flows’. The album is scheduled to be released on October 20th, 2023 via Altin Village + Mine. Along with the announcement, they have also released the single ‘MZ150’.
Led by multi-instrumentalist Ulrich Teichmann, whose jazz background brings a rich musicality to the project, and supported by his sons Andi and Hannes, known as Gebrüder Teichmann, who have a passion for dub techniques, modular synthesis, live sampling, and club music, the trio effortlessly creates music that constantly evolves in shape.
‘MZ150’ holds a special significance for the band. The name is associated with a specific motorcycle that was produced in the GDR. Ulrich Teichmann and his wife Lu Teichmann-Schneider extensively rode this motorcycle in the 1970s, creating countless memories and experiences during their journeys. This personal connection adds depth to the composition and showcases the intimate nature of Teichmann + Soehne’s music.
