Thaddeus X returns with a striking new offering titled ‘Night Rider’ via Emerald & Doreen, featuring three original cuts accompanied by standout remixes. The release caters to those drawn to the pulse of indie dance, retro-fueled synthwave textures, and Italo Trance flair.
The EP includes the driving title track ‘Night Rider’, the late-night energy of ‘Sleepless’, and the hypnotic closer ‘Mind Suggestion’. Each original is reinterpreted through a different lens, with remix duties handled by Terr, Ivan Smoka, and Kurt Kjergaard. Terr reimagines ‘Night Rider’, while Kurt Kjergaard handles ‘Sleepless’, and Ivan Smoka delivers a take on ‘Mind Suggestion’.
“‘Night Rider’ was born from searching for new sounds in my musical palette, programming the instruments differently, achieving a rawer, less processed sound,” explains Thaddeus X. “There was a time in the late 90s and early 2000s when electro clash, techno, and italo disco were once again present on the dance floors. It was a time I experienced with great enthusiasm. There was a club in Madrid called Coppelia 101 that left a deep mark on me and introduced me to these sounds.”
About the remixes, Thaddeus X said: “Having a Terr remix is a dream and an honor. She’s certainly an artist I admire greatly. I love her music. Iván is my friend and partner, and the truth is, it was his idea, and I thought it was a great one. I couldn’t be happier with his remix and with the guitars by Christian Cedron, who is another great artist. Kurt and I had a great rapport from the moment we started talking online. He’s always very willing and proactive.”
