Justice have returned to their recent single ‘Mannequin Love’ with a three-track remix EP that lands via Ed Banger Records and Because Music. The collection presents new versions from The Dare, Braxe + Falcon, and Hudson Mohawke, accompanied by the original cut recorded with The Flints.
Each remixer brings a distinct angle. The Dare accelerates the song’s tempo, Braxe + Falcon infuse their classic French touch, and Hudson Mohawke twists the track into a warped late-night excursion.
Reflecting on the chance to rework the song, The Dare explains: “I spent most of high school driving around listening to a burned CD copy of Cross, so having the privilege to remix a Justice song is utterly surreal. ‘Mannequin Love’ was my favorite track off of the latest LP, so I sped it up and added blown out bass (naturally). As for the new BPM, there was only one option: 127, disco heaven.”
‘Mannequin Love’ first appeared on Justice’s well-received 2024 album ‘Hyperdrama’. Since that release, the duo have taken their Justice: Live show around the world, earning five-star notices from major publications and securing a GRAMMY Award earlier this year for ‘Neverender’.
