The first venue for concerts respecting social distancing has been created

Meet the Virgin Money Unity Arena.

With a horizon in which it seems that in the short term promoters will only be able to hold concerts and events as long as they respect social distancing, several British promoters have come together to create Virgin Money Unity Arena, a venue dedicated to hosting concerts and shows respecting social distancing.

Located in the racing stadium of Gosforth Park of Newcastle (United Kingdom), the promoters have prepared 500 platforms designed to welcome groups of friends and separated from each other to respect social distance, allowing for a maximum capacity of 2,500 people.

There are already some concerts set to take place from mid-August. Among them, Craig Charles, Two Door Cinema Club, Supergrass, The Libertines, Tom Grennan, Bill Bailey, and Maximo Park all have scheduled dates. At the moment there is no electronic music event but probably some will be announced soon.
