The Hydra is set to host a landmark collaboration with DJ-Kicks to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic mix series. Taking place on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at Drumsheds London, the event marks three decades of DJ-Kicks.
Launched in 1995 by !K7 Records, DJ-Kicks has long stood as one of electronic music’s most respected platforms for curated mixes. With a history of spotlighting artists at their most exploratory, the series mirrors The Hydra’s commitment to immersive, forward-thinking programming.
The anniversary celebration will feature a series of rare and first-time back-to-back sets, including DJ Koze b2b Moodymann, Job Jobse b2b Saoirse, Theo Parrish b2b Carista, and Gerd Janson b2b Erol Alkan. Other key sets include Moderat (DJ), KRUDER & DORFMEISTER (DJ), DJ Storm b2b Tim Reaper, Mala b2b Kode9, Kelly Lee Owens b2b rRoxymore, People b2b Actress, and Cinthie b2b Logic1000. The lineup also features Big Reg b2b Spingall, Batgirl b2b Sleepy Jean, Paperclip, Quantic b2b Ehua, Steven Julien b2b Will Saul, and Suchi b2b Swoose.
According to !K7 Records, the night is dedicated to the late Horst Weidenmüller, founder of both the label and the DJ-Kicks series. The team describes the event as “a one-off evening which honours all those late nights and sunrises over the years”.
Drumsheds, now The Hydra’s home after its move from Printworks, has undergone recent acoustic upgrades. For the AW25/26 season, improvements include enhanced treatment in Room X and added infra-bass systems.
