The Mole has unveiled ‘High Hopes,’ a compelling 17-track album that showcases his versatility and artistic evolution. Now available via Circus Company, this 40-minute sonic expedition marks a significant departure from his recent EP ‘High Dreams.’
Drawing inspiration from a deeply personal narrative, ‘High Hopes’ serves as a musical love letter spanning continents—from Vancouver Island to Manantiales. The LP weaves through various genres, from atmospheric ambient soundscapes to gritty hip-hop elements, while incorporating touches of micro-boogie and house music.
The production features synthesizer arrangements, precisely programmed MPCs, thoughtfully processed samples, and organic instrumentation, including bass and violin contributions from collaborators Rick May and Sophie Trudeau.
Guest musicians include Rick May on bass, Sophie Trudeau on violin, and contributions from Daniel Tate and Julz Chaz.
Antonio Carrau’s collage artwork combines analog and digital elements, reflecting the album’s themes of mindfulness and simple appreciation.
