Glasgow-based producer The Shen delivers his latest two-track EP, ‘Another Reason’, now out via Circuit Grooves.
Known for his blend of vintage house influences and contemporary punch, The Shen delivers two cuts steeped in deep house tradition. The title track ‘Another Reason’ pairs luminous progressions with acid flourishes and a subtle eccentricity, while ‘Orange Sunshine’ leans into melodic textures, brass details, and groove-forward rhythms aimed squarely at summer dancefloors.
Drawing on inspirations from ‘90s staples like Nu Groove and Dance Mania, and merging them with elements echoing labels like Chiwax, The Shen offers a warm, fluid listening experience that remains grounded in club functionality.
