South African DJ and producer THEMBA returns with a new full-length project titled ‘Elements of Africa’, out now via Armada Music.
The nine-track album marks a shift in THEMBA’s storytelling, now focused through the lens of the club. From the opening track ‘Akasha’, a contemplative piece steeped in mysticism, to the hypnotic grooves of ‘Spine’ alongside &LEZ, ‘Elements of Africa’ captures the diverse rhythm and emotive weight of the continent’s pulse.
Born in Johannesburg, THEMBA has become one of the most recognized voices in global electronic music. Since emerging in 2018, his fusion of house and techno with African roots has led him to perform at top-tier festivals and alongside artists such as Black Coffee and Peggy Gou. His studio work includes collaborations with David Guetta’s alias Jack Back, remixes for Vintage Culture, and a reinterpretation of a theme from Saltburn.
