Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has released ‘2025 Walking In,’ a pre-show mix created to mirror the sonic atmosphere inside a European arena just before the band takes the stage. The hour-long set, curated by Yorke, is now available on Mixcloud and mirrored across additional streaming platforms.
Originally designed as an audio companion for the band’s 2025 live tour, the mix captures the immersive build-up that fans experience while waiting for the show to begin. It invites listeners to experience—or revisit—that anticipatory energy, whether from home or en route to a venue.
The mix features an eclectic blend of ambient textures, jazz, minimalism, experimental electronics, and archival recordings. Selections include works by Bill Evans, Leonard Cohen, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Bridget St. John, Aphex Twin, Duke Ellington, Pierre Henry & Pierre Schaeffer, David Byrne, and Radiohead themselves. Spoken-word elements, live excerpts, and classical reinterpretations round out a playlist that spans generations and genres.
